What is the commando mindset?

Commando Tough is military inspired training and events suitable for everyone from the novice to the warrior.

Do you want the mental toughness of an Australian Commando? Do you want the confidence to deal with any situation, the strength to push through your perceived limitations, the toughness to continue when others fail, the resilience to complete any task even when it seems absolutely and positively impossible?

The Commando Tough Mindset is about acknowledging what you perceive are your limiting beliefs, determining what is holding you back and what it is that is stopping you getting exactly what you want. Once you realise the only person holding you back is YOU, then real progression can be made.

Everyone needs a plan to succeed. A goal to achieve. A mission to complete. What's your mission? If you're not growing, you're dying.

Our mission was once to finish and pass the Commando Selection course. We did all the research, all the training, planned it down to a daily schedule, jumped over, through and around any hurdle that presented itself. We did absolutely everything we could possibly do to achieve mission success. And we did. Now we simply replicate that successful model and apply it to other goals we wish to achieve.

We're often asked, "Was is hard on operational deployments?" "Did you ever want to quit?"

The fact is yes, it was extremely difficult at times. However, there was no option to quit. While conducting operational missions, we simply didn't have the ability to quit. You couldn't simply say, "I've had enough boss" and go home. So no matter how tough the circumstances were or how brutal the conditions, you simply put one foot in front of the other until the mission was complete.

This is how you MUST train and live your life. There is NO option to quit!

"Mental toughness is many things and rather difficult to explain. It's qualities are sacrifice and self-denial. Also, most importantly, it is combined with a perfectly disciplined will that refuses to give in. It's a state of mind - you could call it "character in action." - Vince Lombardi
